Gameloft is excited to announce the launch of a new update for the ultimate sci-fi FPS, N.O.V.A. 2 – Near Orbit Vanguard Alliance HD, for iPad 2 devices. The update allows gamers to now enjoy both AirPlay Support, for full screen HDTV display, and iCloud backup support, so you never have to worry about losing your data again.

For reference, AirPlay generates two images: one for the TV and one for the iPad screen (which is the control layout). The image on the TV is much more than just a straight mirroring as the gameplay and cinematics are actually rendered in full 19/9 screen. Furthermore, it’s very easy to play without watching your hands on the iPad, as the game features specifically adapted controls as well.
