‘Real Racing 2’ Details and Gameplay Trailer – 16 Player Online Multiplayer and 30 Licensed Cars for $9.99
It’s what we’ve all been waiting for folks — new details, screenshots, and a gameplay trailer for Firemint‘s upcoming racing game, Real Racing 2. Well, over the last few weeks, Firemint has been teasing us with various little bits of information, but finally, they release the hounds and answer all the unanswered questions before hand. So, first off, Firemint will be pricing Real Racing 2 at $9.99, however, you’re probably wondering “What will I get for $9.99?”. Well, for $9.99 you’ll get a lot of stuff. To be more specific, you’ll get 30 licensed cars from several different manufacturers (listed in below). When you’re racing, you’ll be up against 16 racers either locally or online in the multiplayer races. Firemint is promising that Real Racing 2 will have “well over 10 hours” of gameplay in the career mode and span a wide range of event types where players will also earn in-game currency to both buy new cars and even upgrade existing cars. As for the game modes. it will include the typical career mode, quick races, time trials, and both local multiplayer with 8 players where as online multiplayer will have 16 players.
Along with that, 15 locations in all are included, which totals up to 40 miles of race track. There is also a vehicle damage system, which is somewhat surprising. Real Racing 2 will have Firemint‘s Cloudcell and Game Center support as well. Just like the it’s predecessor, there’s a wide range of control options plus camera angles including the awesome full 3D cockpit view with (what appears to be) extremely accurate car interiors too. Along with that, the HUD has a new minimap which can be toggled on or off. Real Racing 2 is set to be released next Thursday. Also, here’s the full car set list:
