Video: 4th Generation iPod Touch vs. iPhone 4 – Speed Test
As most of you know, the new 4th generation iPod Touch has 256 MB of RAM, which is half of the iPhone 4’s amount of RAM. But is that a major deal? Watch the video below for yourself.
As you can tell, there isn’t a significant difference between the iPhone 4 and the 4th generation iPod Touch. Why? Well, there could many possibilities to say the least. So, here’s a few:
- The iPod Touch doesn’t have to handle as much as the iPhone 4 does. Such as the phone function, texting, and signal reception for example.
- Apparently, the iPhone 4’s processor is under-clocked (slower) to save battery. Now, if this is entirely true, I’m not sure. But it’s a possibility, I doubt it though. If it is true, however, then the new 4th generation iPod Touch’s processor would be over-clocked (faster) and in essence meaning it can process things better and faster than the iPhone 4.
But in the end, you decide for yourself. Let us know what you think in the comments below.
