Rapid Recap: Cocoto Magic Circus
Okay, here’s a special treat for PocketFullOfApps, a preview look at Cocoto Magic Circus for iPhone/iPod Touch! Hopefully this review will be approved before tomorrow or it won’t be much of a preview. Now if you thought that Cocoto Kart Racing was good, think again. This game blows their first one out of the water!
This game is great for anyone who is a fan of carnival games or WarioWare. Although there are no unlockable prizes, Eurocenter makes up for it by supplying the game with multiplayer! The arcade mode is very fun, filled with 40 levels! It has increasing difficulty, as you would presume. The game is very easy to beat, but because of the length, you will be spending a considerable amount of time on the game. Charge up your batteries, you’re in for a wild ride.
As far as the gameplay is concerned, although a little repetitive, is very fun. There are several different games, including save the princess, shoot the boss, and many, many more. Some are very simple and easy to understand, while others take skill and cunning to complete. While you play, there are many powerups to grab both good and bad varying from free hits to gun jam. Be wary when going for them though because if you miss, your precision score will drop.
To be quite frank, the graphics are phenomenal! The clown is very entertaining and funny when he appears between minigames, and is a great example of the excellent graphics. There isn’t really much more to say about the graphics; there were absolutely no problem with them at all mind the very slight lag.
The controls were very easy to understand. All you had to do was tap. But what made it challenging, of course, was knowing when to tap. Don’t shoot your friends (also a good lesson for outside the gaming world) and make sure that you get all of the baddies, and you’ll be well off. Just make sure not to miss so that your precision score doesn’t drop!
I will give it a 9 for the amazing graphics, a 10 for the price ($0.99 baby!), a 8 for replayability (it can become tedious), and a 10 for the controls, giving us a grand total of 9. Get this game tomorrow when it’s released on the App Store, I highly recommend it.
