Rapid Recap: ‘Zombie Cannon Carnage’
Hey everyone, HCgamer here. This is my first review I’ve written for PocketFullOfApps and I’m pretty excited about it, so let’s get started. Zombie Cannon Carnage is a game produced by h.grenade and Freeverse (you know, the guys who just got bought out by ngmoco). It focuses around these three zombies who just love getting blasted out of cannons to wreak havoc on their normally calm city. You have three rounds to cause as much destruction as possible.
The first round is your basic level where you just get shot out of the cannon. You can press the thrust button to use up fuel to travel further (just don’t go too high or you might just get mauled by some jets!). When you’ve run out of fuel or been hit too many times, you can press the self-destruct button to cause extra damage! But here’s where the fun part comes in. For every round you play, you earn money. Not actual money, of course, but money you can use in-game to buy bonuses for the next level(s)! Buy a stronger cannon, more fuel, more hits before you die, or the mystery prize! This could be missiles, toxic waste barrels, or even an extra round! Now I bet the game is sounding pretty darn good to you eh? Well hold on to your seats because there’s more! After you’ve played all of your rounds, you reach the end screen. This screen tell you how many Plus+ awards you earned, how many of the three, yes THREE characters you’ve unlocked, and a fun fact about the rounds you just played, such as how many streetlights broken or how many people hurt. And by the way, for every new character you unlock, they come with their own level!
So now let’s wrap it up. I want to give this game a 9 for replay value, because you can always beat your high score and try for every Plus+ award and it’s really fun to play. I will also give this game an 8 for controls, because the controls are easy to understand after a few rounds, but at first they are a bit confusing. The game also deserves a 9 for price. The game is fantastically priced at $1.99, though I would prefer $0.99, but it is a very fair price. And last but not least it deserves a score of 9 for the art style. I think it’s a fantastic looking game as well as fantastic playing. So let’s see here, the game has an overall score is 8.75, so about a nine overall. It’s a really fun game, and currently in my favorites bar on my iPod Touch. So I’d recommend it to any hardcore gamer, like myself. Thanks for reading.
