Prank Ltd, an independent game developer and publisher, has announced the free availability of its critically acclaimed iOS game Ant Raid on the App Store. The campaign started yesterday and lasts for one week, until the end of Thursday April 26th. The price removal covers both versions, the original Ant Raid that was released for iPad on July 2011 for $2.99, and Ant Raid for iPhone released on January 2012 for $0.99.

Ever since its release date, Ant Raid has enjoyed a wild success among reviewers. With 90 out of 100 review score average, the game is listed as the all-time 2nd highest scoring iOS strategy game in Metacritic, where it was also recognized as the 8th best iPad game of 2011. The more recently published iPhone version has also enjoyed the spotlight, as it was listed as #1 game of Q1 2012 in iPhone Quality Index, with a review score average of 9.5 out of 10.

Ant Raid is a lightweight RTS-type-of game playing around a cheerful horror theme.
