There’s been a number of rumors circulating recently that the next generation iPad (iPad 3) may get a 3D screen similar to the 3DS or like those fancy 3D HDTVs you see at BestBuy. So, with that said, this week’s Poll of the Week is: Do you think the iPad 3 will get a 3D display? I don’t think it’s practical and reasonable for a number of reasons. The first being is that the price of the iPad would likely to go up for Apple and in return prices for consumers will go up as well. The second being is that it’s a 9 inch display, it’s already quite big, I don’t see the necessity for a 3D display. But anyway, what do you think? You can vote on this poll above or on the sidebar on your right, however, if you wanna comment with something different, go a head! As always, you can expect a new Poll of the Week next Sunday.
Let’s up this is true. During EA’s Q1 2011 earning conference call, EA slightly hinted that iOS would receive versions of Mass Effect 3 and Battlefield: Bad Company 3. This makes sense that EA would bring Battlefield 3 to iOS, seen as how Battlefield: Bad Company 2 (for iOS) has been a good success for EA and that it’s been a hit with iOS gamers. Ron Taylor writes:
Both Battlefield 3 and Mass Effect 3 are receiving some sort of handheld version.
I say it’s safe to say that we’ll at least see a Battlefield: Bad Company 3 port, but as for a Mass Effect 3 I’m not so sure. But as always, if a port of any of these games happens to be released, PocketFullOfApps will let you know.
Well folks, look like something super big and cool has been discovered that involves a 64GB White iPhone 4 running a prototype iOS 4.0 with Expose, brand new folder system, and Facebook integration. Two videos from Vietnamese website Tinhte have surfaced showing off a 64 GB White iPhone 4 running prototype iOS 4.0 with Expose, a brand new folder system, along with Facebook integration. At first, many thought that the iPhone shown was running iOS 5, however, after further inspection of the videos showed that the prototype unit (probably an iPhone 4) is running an old internal build of iOS 4.0, build number 8A216. While on the topic of the build number, the Golden Master version of iOS 4.0 carried build number 8A293, so this might be an internal seed tested before the first developer betas were publicly released. Another thing to note, the iPhone in this video shows the old Calculator and Voice Memos icons as well.
As some of you may say that the Expose-like multitasking looks a lot like the Multifl0w jailbreak tweak, however, you are mistaken. Multifl0w shows nothing but the apps running while this Expose-like multitasking shows the apps running along with a Spotlight search bar and the background image. So, with the build number and this, it seems logical that this is an internal build for Apple only and not developers. To support that statement some more, the iPhone shown in the videos also runs some Apple internal applications and has a series of extra settings that suggest the build is legit and somehow leaked by Tinhte. Tinhte has a good track record when it comes to Apple rumors and products leaks, so this is probably real.
My take on this is that it is real, and Apple was planning on releasing this all in iOS 4, however, had to cancel it at the last-minute. We’ll probably see this with the iPhone 5 along side iOS 5 sometime later this year.
With Apple’s line of MacBooks to the MacBook Pros or all the way to the MacBook Air, there’s no netbook as you can tell. Some of thought that Apple may move into the netbook market while other have thought the opposite. Both sides of the argument have good points, but Apple has the final decision like always. So, with that said, this week’s Poll of the Week is: Do you think Apple will make a Netbook? As for me, I think Apple won’t do it because it may eat into the iPad’s sale numbers or vice verse which is the last thing they want. But what about you? You can vote on this poll above or to your right on the sidebar. As always though, you can expect a new Poll of the Week next week along with the results of this week’s Poll of the Week. Here’s the results of last week’s poll below.
