We all love killing zombies whether its with guns, explosives, melee attacks or something else but Pro Zombie Soccer brings a whole new way to killing zombies. There is only one question though, is this new way of killing zombies a fun way or a very boring way that shouldn’t even exist?

The truth is Pro Zombie Soccer is one of the best ways of killing zombies. Kicking a soccer ball at zombies may at first seem like the most stupidest idea someone could think of but when you play the game your mind will be changed completely, and that’s guaranteed. This game has mixed killing zombies, with one of the most popular sports in the world that being soccer (football).

I’ll begin with the story. Your character known as Jax was a very talented soccer player and has some really good skills, with the support of his friend he tried out for one of the best soccer teams in the world. While Jax was looking for food in the trash cans he remembered the day when a hangover he had with his friends, ruined his tryouts for the team. He played horribly, and it was that bad he didn’t even recognize himself because the hangover was so bad. The “douche bag” coach rejected him from his dream and at that moment his life went down the toilet. The coach had spread the word that he was so bad over to all the other coaches, he couldn’t even get a job mowing a stadium lawn. Suddenly, a noise behind him took his attention away from the trash can, he was bitten by Julinho who had become a zombie, but when he was bitten he got an urge of super soccer skills, and Julinho’s ball became the ultimate weapon for him.
The game runs like a gem. The player, Jax is positioned on the left side of the screen and behind him is a white circle, which you slide up and down to aim where the ball is going to go. There is an arrow in front of him to show you where the ball is actually going to go, and so you can aim at the incoming zombies from the right of screen. There are several different zombie types, some zombies will die with one shot, some zombies will die in one show unless shot in the heat, then it will take two, and it goes on. Some zombies will walk at you and others will run at you and that variety makes the game a whole lot better and funner for play. Shooting the zombies will earn you points for your final score, but also points to your special meter which when is full will allow you to use one of the three available power attacks which include the lighting ball turning the ball into a high speed killing weapon, piercing ball with goes right through zombies and the angry military satellite giving the player a limited amount of time to target the zombies on screen then, boom! Each of these will last a certain amount of time, this will depend of the mission you’re doing so it does vary, but usually they last around the same time. There is also the power kick which you can get just by holding the white circle down, they will kill certain zombies in a single shot, some zombies can only be killed by these too.

The graphics in Pro Zombie Soccer are great. The graphics are nice and smooth running, and the animations are fantastic. This game doesn’t fall behind in the improving graphical standard of iPhone games. The menus are very good, easy to understand and will get you to the things you want to get to quickly and easily. Loading times are very short, they will give you small breaks after each of the levels but it doesn’t slow you down a bit. Pro Zombie Soccer offers great graphics, animation and menu.

As for game extras, there is a community feature which uses the play-haven service, it is similar to Facebook, but has its own features and it will for sure be handy if you need help or support. There is also the soundtrack for the game in the music players featuring sixteen songs including “The Running”, “Dead Winter”, “Destroy Them All” and “Epilogue”. Finally you can just go through the credits, just to see who did what part of the game was developed by who. The game’s community service is Crystal, it will allow you to get updates on future game news and look at your achievements.

Once the game is finished you’ll unlock a new game mode which can be accessed in the main menu by clicking the soccer ball by Jax on the left of screen. It’s a new game mode called Zombie Odyssey which is basically a horde mode, and you have to survive as long as you can, this will get difficult and you progress through the stages. You can also unlock hardcore mode which is exactly the same as the campaign but a lot harder, and will for sure be a challenge for those who found the normal campaign too easy. The extra for the game are actually quite good, specially the great soundtrack for the game you can listen to.

If you like soccer, or just love killing zombies then you should get this game. If maybe you’re not a big fan of the zombie killing, awesome soccer kicking then you should also check Pro Zombie Soccer out because the whole package is absolutely awesome, and if you’re not a fan of these types of games it will sure make you one. The game is really fun to play, addictive and without knowing it will slowly get harder and even when things get tough for some reason you’ll just keep on trying. The gameplay is awesome, and however they came up with this game idea I don’t know but it certainly works out if you get this game you will not regret it, ever.
