Finally! iPod Touch rumors. I know we probably should not get excited because it is only a bigger screen.

Mainly the picture above looks just like a iPod Touch’s top, but it is much bigger. Apple will probably update the iPod Touch this year by making a bigger retina display just like the iPhone. MacRumors claims that the screen is 4.1-inches diagonally. Huge screen update for the iPod Touch. It will probably be the same size as the iPhone 5 or 6′s screen.

IBM, like most technology companies, gets a little anxious when it comes to protecting their proprietary information. Hey, tech is a competitive industry and one little slip could mean the difference between launching the latest bit of hardware or having your competitors beat you to the punch. So that they don’t want to let Apple and their associates in on private company information is not really that surprising. And considering that many people use Siri’s voice functionality to create and send text and email messages, the potential security issues could be gargantuan.

Suppose a high-level employee sent an email via Siri containing information about an unreleased product or a merger. Anyone at Apple with access to that information could use it to their own advantage (and the distinct disadvantage of IBM). This is, of course, unethical at the very least (and possibly illegal depending on the usage). But considering that Apple warns Siri users up-front that any information they feed their phone will go directly to Apple, it’s unclear whether IBM would have a legal leg to stand on after the fact.

Apple’s stance on the issue is that they’re using the information they gather to enhance the user experience. But that they store it for an undisclosed amount of time is a little disconcerting, as is the knowledge that they do not take steps to make it anonymous. Even Google, which has had similar issues in the past due to their data collection practices, has addressed these privacy issues by opting to make searches anonymous (after nine months) so that tracing distinct connections (IP addresses) in connection to specific searches is nearly impossible.

Unfortunately, Apple does not seem inclined to afford their users any such consideration. For the time being they will continue to collect and store data that is input via Siri. And while IBM has not yet banned the use of the iPhone altogether at their headquarters, they have declared a moratorium on the use of Siri pending privacy policy changes. Sorry, Siri, it looks like you’re off the guest list at IBM.

The Walking Dead is Telltale‘s fastest-selling game series to date, with the first episode of five, titled ‘A New Day’ topping the sales charts as the #1 best-selling title on Xbox LIVE Arcade for two weeks straight, also securing a spot at the top of the sales charts in its launch week on the Steam digital distribution service as well as on PlayStation Network. Independent developer Cube Roots and the devastatingly handsome gents of Devolver Digital have announced a partnership to bring the puzzle/RPG hybrid Dungeon Hearts to PC, Mac, and mobile devices in early 2013. Cube Roots’ debut game features a nostalgic blend of classic RPG elements fused into a vibrant match-three puzzle game for a wholly unique experience.

“The original pitch was for Dungeon Hearts to be medieval brothel simulator,” claimed Fork Parker, CFO of Devolver Digital, “I recommended we shift development towards the puzzle/RPG hybrid because medieval brothel simulators just don’t sell anymore.”

It’s tempting to tout Twitter, Facebook, Foursquare, Yelp, and any number of other apps in the mobile marketing arena as the key to implementing targeted marketing efforts and increasing business. But in all honesty, it’s your network of colleagues, peers, and other professionals that have the most power to move you forward. So how do you do it through your LinkedIn app? First you need to set up an account (if you haven’t done so already), create a profile, and start making connections. The way it works is something like six degrees of separation.

You have a list of connections, people that have accepted you as a business contact (or vice versa). Through LinkedIn you can gain access to their list of contacts (even if you don’t currently share them) via recommendations. If you have a friend who is connected to the CEO of Sony, for example, or the head tech writer at the Los Angeles Times, you could ask your friend to recommend you as a contact to those people. In short, it’s a tool to help you grow your professional network based on the trusted referrals of those who already know you. You’ll also have access to job listings, industry news, groups, messaging, and other tools to help you stay connected.

And the mobile app has an added feature that professionals in the field will appreciate; their “bump” function allows for mobile-to-mobile instant connection, so rather than trading business cards when you meet people that you’d like to keep as professional contacts, all you have to do is connect to them automatically with your LinkedIn app (so long as they have an existing account) in order to add them to your network. Plus you’ll get network updates on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch and you can organize and prioritize them to suit your needs.

In terms of internet marketing, you might still be a little confused as to how this app will help you, but if you understand the power of networking there’s not much mystery involved. LinkedIn lets you share new developments with your network of contacts, who can in turn share it with their network, and so on. It’s simply a matter of getting relevant information to the right people. And when you need advice, investments, or the power of promotion that your contacts can offer, LinkedIn will make sure that you are either connected to the right people or that you can get connected. In the wide world of business marketing, the right list of contacts will help you to achieve all of your marketing and sales goals.

Aoineko Studios, an award-winning gaming and animation studio based in Phoenix, Arizona, has reached the 68% funded level on their Kickstarter campaign, with over $17,000 raised and just over two weeks to go. Today Aoineko is officially announcing that, as a special reward upon reaching their $25,000 goal early, an A-list voice actor in the gaming community will make a special appearance in an upcoming update video to thank supporters and announce their stretch goals for Kickstarter.

Aoineko Studios has also released the very first in-game footage of Kitaru’s Active Time Battle system to their Kickstarter project profile. This has been heavily anticipated by Kickstarter supporters, and the development team has been working hard to establish these foundational battle components. The Aoineko team has also released a new update video that shows insider insight on the in-depth process of character creation, from preliminary model concept shoot to the art of animation.
