Today, The popular iphone app developper/co. Gameloft, has unveiled a microsite about the upcoming GTA/Max Payne genre game : 9mm. Well, that was a surprise. Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars by Rockstar Games has been released. Even more surprisingly, Apple even approved of it. Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, of course, doesn’t have all the (bad) things as the console version does. It still is cool to see GTA:CW on the App Store and on the iPhone. Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars weighs in at 188MB and $9.99 on the App Store. Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars is only compatible with the iPod Touch 2nd generation and the iPhone (all generations).

Rockstar Games just released a press release announcing ‘Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars’. There has been speculation on if Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars will be released for the iPhone and iPod Touch, well now the wait is over. Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars has gotten a good review from ign.com (review) and many other good reviews. So there’s a good chance that this will be a good game, so hopefully it’s a port from the DS. There’s no details on when it will be released and no details on the price. The game will probably be a port from the DS but who’s to say it might not be.

Later back we informed you on Gameloft’s upcoming game ‘Gang$tar‘. Well, there has been some info leaked on Gang$tar’s Twitter. The game will be $6.99 / €5.49 / £3.99 and will be released before the end of August. Many people and I were thinking this game was going to be at least $9.99 but when I heard it was going to be releases for $6.99 I became even more excited. The game looks really good and the best GTA (Grand Theft Auto) clone there’s on the App Store. There are other GTA clones out there on the App Store like Car Jack Streets [LITE Version] and Payback [LITE Version] they are both great games but don’t seem to match up to Gang$tar at all. On Gang$tar’s website there are also a lot of screenshots which is really nice and gives us even more insight on the game. I’m really looking forward to this game it looks great and very polished. All I can say is that this will be a instant purchase for me and I’m really looking forward to this game. We will keep you viewers on this game when more info is released and when it comes out.
