Excellent review of a great app. Before the recent upgrade the maps and levels were very difficult. I expressed my frustration in an email to the site, and got a reply from the creator James Pawliuk. The recent upgrade has 'easy' levels, and some other minor upgrades.
This is a great game. Anyone want to share strategies?

It only stayed free for a few days. I managed to snag a copy on the 1st, but when a friend of mine tried to download it on the 3rd the price was back to $2.99

You should not argue about certain reviews because they are subjective. Look at Tony Hawk Ride, most reviews gave it a failing score. But there is a score or two that gave it a high one. But honestly, the game sucked :) I also stated this in my review:

“It’s up to you if you want to try this game, it’s only $0.99 if you’re not a cheap stake, but there are more better $0.99 games out there”

If they like the game, great! :) If you like the game, good for you. Thanks for your opinion. I respect that.

Hey Scott, yeah sorry I didn’t notice the background does actually move whilst playing, must have been too engrossed by the primary action.

Ok, I understand.

So you are saying the apps he reviews are randomly selected? Part of that maybe true, but we get review requests from developers, which re try to review their games when we get the time and sorta through all the reviews requested.

So the reviews aren’t thought-out and could be better, is that what you are saying?

Well what I mean is that the reviews are… somewhat… random.

Sorry for not being clear, but what I am trying to say is that the reviews are not based on selected games which ’sic’ may like, but probably any game he sees on AppShopper or something.

Not a thought-out-through review, as if his job is to get out a review per day, like a MUST.

Overall, good site. :)

I understand what you are saying, but keep in mind that a review site reviews any game or app. If it’s too cluttered you can select a category to see the posts inside it. For example, just want to see all news? Click on the “News” category link on the site bar to see all posts that are news, for reviews only, click the “Review” link, so on and so forth.

Just out of curiosity, when you say,”the reviews are getting out of hand”, what do you mean? They need to be more organized, or what?

I’m just saying that the reviews are really random.. like of small games which aren’t even good.

There’s no such things as “random reviews”. What do you expect? They only review “known and popular” games? That’s what the review sites are for, REVIEWING GAMES YOU MAY NOT KNOW AND GAMES THAT MIGHT INTEREST GAMERS (not only you alone of course)

Just be thankful that they review games that no other sites gets to review because thousands of games are being released on the Appstore, you know that. Now if you only wanna read NGMOCO, GAMELOFT, CHILLINGO and other big guns out there, this site does that too, plus games that haven’t got the chance to have more visiblity but are good ones.

This site review any kind of games. It’s not particular to only the popular ones.
This is the essence of this site.

It might be easily overlooked with all the action going on in the foreground, but the background is actually ever-changing with asteroids and a nebula all moving at a different speeds. (the planets also change as you progress up the levels).

Based on all the feedback from users the Nova Run team is currently in the process of putting the final touches on their next release. Expect the following additions in version 1.1:
- Background scenery changes happening faster.
- A forward swipe on a forward moving ship gives it a momentary speed-boost to sqeeze past an imminent collision.
- Ever wondered what was stored in the compartment of the double-hulled ship? In version 1.1 you will be able to do a sideways-swipe to launch it’s heat-seaking missile!
- Other secret changes… you’ll have to wait for update 1.1 to see ;-)

Hmm…why I should win? Because it would totally make my day since, given the choice between paying rent and buying Ravensword, I should probably go with rent this month. But a good RPG provides a nice route to escapism.

I’d love to see really lots of stuff on the upcoming Ravensword Expansion Pack such as more classes ? Female characters / class, Magic would be rather essential, different weapons and attacks, multiplayer mode (which I think you guys are already on the way doing it), guilds too perhaps ! and if it goes into Online MultiPlayer, do allow us to have our own in-game-nick above our heads :D

in the expansion pack there should be options to customise your character as well as option to play as a female

i think there should also be more weapons, as new weapons mean new attacks, and that’s always good!

i think i should win because ive been waiting for this app for a long time and im too skint to buy it with my own money!

i think in the expansion pack there should be more character types/races(elf, goblin etc)

also, maybe there should be more magic based and ranged attacks

I should win this game because I feel it’s a really superb and awesome RPG game ! And best of all, I love Crescent Moon Games, PocketFullOfApps and lastly, Chillingo !

For the Expansion Pack, I’d love to see more classes, other forms of attack, more magic, more weapons, larger and more cities, character customization…. How about having achievements ? and of course, Online Mult-Player mode !

The list just goes on… there’re still so much more rooms for improvements on an already awesome RPG game :D

Awesome Giveaway. I think I should win. Why? Coz it`s a great game, has really good reviews all over and there could be nothing better than getting it for free :D

For the updates, I think it really needs to add skills. And ofcourse bigger maps and even more gameplay ;)

Yea, EA did leave teams out and stadiums too. Real Soccer 2010 I’m not sure if it has all the teams either, your best bet is would to tweet @EAmobile and @Gamleoft on twitter and ask them for the list of teams, or look on the App Description for a list of teams.

EA Sports forgot to include UEFA Champions League and UEFA EUROPA League on FIFA 10 for the iPhone/iPod Touch. Spain COPA DEL REY was not included and the INTERNATIONAL which supposed to be spelled as WORLD CUP. Few international cups need to be added such as AFRICAN NATION CUP, ASIAN NATION CUP, EUROPEAN NATION CUP and AMERICAN NATION CUP.

The game will be $6.99 / €5.49 / £3.99 and will be released before the end of August. Many people and I were thinking this game was going to be at least $9.99 but when I heard it was going to be releases for $6.99 I became even more excited. The game looks really good and the best GTA (Grand Theft Auto) clone there’s on the App Store. There are other GTA clones out there on the App Store like Car Jack Streets [LITE Version] and Payback [LITE Version] they are both great game but don’t seem to match up to Gang$tar at all. On Gang$tar’s website there are also a lot of screenshots which is really nice. I’m really looking forward to this game it looks great and very polished. All I can say is that this will be a instant purchase for me and I’m really looking forward to this game. We will keep you viewers on this game when more info is released and when it comes out. Yeah it’s pretty much what you would expect from a mobile version of a spore game. It still has the basic customizable parts, armours, weapons (Teeth, Stingers, etc.). The game is fun though, as longas you don’t hold it up to expectations of it’s PC father.

Cant believe there`s a chance to get a promo code for Rolando 2. Now I have seen a lot of promo codes being offered in contests but they are mostly 0.99-1.99$ category only. This is definitely a first for me.
