In Froad, players take control of an amphibian character called Froad, who is named this way because nobody can tell if he is a frog or a toad. Froad is a survival game where players must catch as many bugs as possible, as requested by Froad himself, to see how many days they can help him survive. If players catch the wrong bug or a bad bug, such as a Bee or a Wasp, Froad’s health will deteriorate until his hunger bar is empty, at which point the game will end.

Froad contains two insect-filled worlds for players to take on, the Forest and the Pond, containing a variety of different bugs dependent on the location. Each world will cycle between day and night which will bring different varieties of creepy-crawlies for Froad to munch through, but it will also bring new dangers for Froad to avoid.

Sadly though, with this new iPad version, it’s not a Universal application. So if you’ve got an iPad and iPhone, you’ll have to fork out $5.99 for the two apps. Considering it’s one of the best Twitter apps out there though, it’s worth it without a doubt. In the mean time though, enjoy this awesome update!

The app is comprehensive and the design is nice and clean and users can easily indulge their creativity and share it with the world.

Astroslugs is a colorful and soothing puzzle board game for your iPad, iPhone & iPod Touch. The game is set in a long forgotten age “when the universe still looked like an old parchment”. It features the highly intelligent Astroslugs who travel through space and visit far-away planets to gather the prized Slug Energy. To support the Astroslugs you solve mind-boggling puzzles by drawing different shaped pieces onto an always varying board. In addition to that, it several awards and was Apple’s iPad Game of the Week.

If you’re not up for paying the initial cost right away, there’s also a free, lite version available to give it a test run as well. In the mean time though, I highly recommend this game, especially if it’s on sale.

Metacritic named Ant Raid as the 8th best iPad game of 2011 and currently the game holds the all-time number one spot of iOS strategy games with its Metascore of 90 out of 100. As a celebration to the success and due to the widespread praise of the game’s upbeat music, the company has decided to provide the entire soundtrack for free of charge.

Originally the game was released exclusively for iPad on July of 2011, and on January of 2012 a new version for iPhone and iPod Touch followed. Additionally, Prank published free versions of the game for both iPad and iPhone, featuring 10 unique levels. The original soundtrack of Ant Raid can now be downloaded from the game’s official website right here.

Crescent Moon Games, the rapidly-expanding publisher for quality iOS games, releases their new tactical MMO strategy game, Raid Leader. Developed by Red Zebra Games, this MMO style raiding game comes this Thursday on February 9th. You take on the role as the Raid Leader guiding a group of heroes through a land plagued by monsters and demons. Each hero has different abilities and knowing when to use them is key to winning the fights. Guide your heroes wisely and you will cleanse the land of evil. Raid Leader features a fluid and intuitive control system and a unique perks and ability system which offers lots of combinations.

As a side note, Raid Leader will be Universal — available for both iPhone and iPad. As for the price point, we’re not sure but if I had to take a stab at it, I’d say $0.99 at launch.
