After getting delayed for a week, Red Bull Air Race from Red Bull Media House is now available for free with in-app purchases on the App Store for both iPhone and iPad. The fast-paced arcade racing game brings the fastest motorsport series in the world — the 2014 Red Bull Air Race World Championship — to iOS devices for the first time. In the game players face 23 pilots, flying at a speed of 230 MPH and subjected to forces of up to 10 Gs. Just like in the real Red Bull Air Race, players start off with training at the “pilot camp” in Brazil, while there they prepare for the racing season and learn the controls. For there, it’s off to the career mode on the trail of the 2014 Red Bull Air Race World Championship in eight different locations on three continents. All the courses in the game are recreated closely on the originals and are unlocked as players progresses through the game.
Six different aircraft, each with their own special characteristics, are available on release as well. In the virtual hangar, they can be repainted and equipped with various upgrades that provide even more speed and improve the aerodynamics. Those who have more fun in duels than pursuing a pilot career can try their hand in the global Tournament mode, where they face other players from all over the world. Players who want to prove how skilled they are must go through the same process as in the real Red Bull Air Race: Training, Qualifying, Top 12, Super 8, and Final 4.
DeNA, developers of many hit mobile games, have recently launched the first major update for their popular iOS title Transformers: Age of Extinction. Since the game’s release, players have won more than 4.7 million boss battles, cleared over 100 million objectives as well as defeated more than 1.8 billion enemies. This free update features new levels from the film including Hong Kong and Lockdown’s Ship, a new boss, a new attack, and lastly the introduction of Special Events Series. The Hunted Survival Missions is the first in the series of Special Events in the game and promises big in-game rewards for high scoring players. Tied to a unique series of stories, each Special Event will be available for a limited time where players must test their skills as they take on waves of enemies in an attempt to survive as long as possible and score the highest on the leaderboards. From what we were told, this latest even will be available until Wednesday, September 17th.
After Apple’s much anticipated iPhone 6 keynote speech yesterday, it’s safe to say that they have finally stepped up their game once again. Not only is Apple moving towards bigger phone sizes similar to Android, they are now taking on the mobile payment industry with Apple Pay, their latest venture that will allow consumers to easily pay with their credit card by using their Apple Watch or iPhone. Most recently Google launched Google Wallet, however, there were some drawbacks and downfalls to the service. With Apple being Apple, they typically wait a bit to see what other companies do, then improve on their ideas. One excellent example is the Apple Watch — Apple wasn’t the first, however, they waited for other companies like Pebble and Samsung to release their first or second generation smart watches, observe their flaws and downfalls, then release their own smart watch that improved on those aspects. But without any further to do, be sure to check out the full press release by clicking the following link. Read the rest of this article ->
