A plane crash in the middle of Berlin, a burning tanker in the harbor, and a derailed maglev train are just some of the 13 catastrophe scenarios players have to deal with as the chief of operations in EMERGENCY on the iPad. A quick grasp and an even quicker reaction are the prerequisites to getting a handle on the incipient chaos.

As the chief of the fire services, police, and rescue services, players must coordinate all the units and direct them to the scene. Timing is crucial, because fires must be extinguished and the injured must be found and treated in time. Depending on the mission, a total of 18 different units are available, including ambulances, rescue helicopters, and pump tankers.

Only those who use the best tactics can earn the time bonus for the assigned mission and win the gold medal. But the break following a successfully concluded mission is short, and soon it will once again be EMERGENCY – the next catastrophe is calling.
