How to: Install beta Mac App Store Provisioning Profiles
Earlier yesterday we covered a how to article on finding your Mac’s UDID for beta testing a Mac App Store app. Well, so continuing on in the process after the developer gets your UDID, he/she will send over the binary (of the app) to install along with a provisioning profile to verify your computer. Usually it’s best to install the provisioning profile first, then the binary but in the mean time here’s how to install the provisioning profile.
- Download the file to your Mac.
- If it came zipped, unzip it (obvious).
- Double click the .provisionprofile file.
- System Preferences will launch; click on “Install“.
- Now enter your administrator password
- The provisioning profile should now show up in your profiles.
Enjoy!
