Over the course of our 2 years of being in existence we’ve covered many games — some great while, some terrible and everything in between — but Warm Gun [EXCLUSIVE PREVIEW] by Emotional Robots Inc is something to totally different and off the charts. After almost six months of development, Emotional Robots Inc have finally released a debut trailer for Warm Gun that we have covered extensively. The developers have said that the debut trailer below was taken with the iPad 2 and hasn’t been altered, so this is the real deal. Here’s the trailer:

Warm Gun will be available for the iPad, iPad 2, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPod Touch 3 and iPod Touch 4. As a side note, Warm Gun will also be released on Android devices after the iOS version launches.

EA CEO, John Riccitiello, was recently interviewed by Industry Gamers and when asked about consoles and other platforms, he had something very interesting to say about the iPad. Here’s what Riccitiello had to say:

We have a new hardware platform and we’re putting out software every 90 days. Our fastest growing platform is the iPad right now and that didn’t exist 18 months ago. So the idea that we’re categorizing the industry as being [cyclical]… Nintendo is off cycle with what?

I mean, the point of reference is gone. And so Nintendo is bringing out a new platform that brings together some of what we’re learning from new media and new platforms like the iPad and then integrating that with a console. It’s the perfect time for that in the industry.

What does this mean for iPad gamers? Well, probably that as time progresses we can expect to see more console-quality games (or even ports of console games) head over to iPad.

Crescent Moon Games, the well-known App Store publisher that seems to never take a break, has already announced their next upcoming title — Siegecraft– developed Blowfish Studios. As noted by Crescent Moon Games, Siegecraft is due to release sometime late September and this ultimate 3D physics-based game is sure to deliver lots of fun as you can tell from the screenshots below.
