64 GB White iPhone 4 running prototype iOS 4 with Expose, new Folder System, and Facebook Integration! [HUGE GALLERY OF PICTURES]
Well folks, look like something super big and cool has been discovered that involves a 64GB White iPhone 4 running a prototype iOS 4.0 with Expose, brand new folder system, and Facebook integration. Two videos from Vietnamese website Tinhte have surfaced showing off a 64 GB White iPhone 4 running prototype iOS 4.0 with Expose, a brand new folder system, along with Facebook integration. At first, many thought that the iPhone shown was running iOS 5, however, after further inspection of the videos showed that the prototype unit (probably an iPhone 4) is running an old internal build of iOS 4.0, build number 8A216. While on the topic of the build number, the Golden Master version of iOS 4.0 carried build number 8A293, so this might be an internal seed tested before the first developer betas were publicly released. Another thing to note, the iPhone in this video shows the old Calculator and Voice Memos icons as well.
As some of you may say that the Expose-like multitasking looks a lot like the Multifl0w jailbreak tweak, however, you are mistaken. Multifl0w shows nothing but the apps running while this Expose-like multitasking shows the apps running along with a Spotlight search bar and the background image. So, with the build number and this, it seems logical that this is an internal build for Apple only and not developers. To support that statement some more, the iPhone shown in the videos also runs some Apple internal applications and has a series of extra settings that suggest the build is legit and somehow leaked by Tinhte. Tinhte has a good track record when it comes to Apple rumors and products leaks, so this is probably real.
My take on this is that it is real, and Apple was planning on releasing this all in iOS 4, however, had to cancel it at the last-minute. We’ll probably see this with the iPhone 5 along side iOS 5 sometime later this year.
