Do you still remember the Data East’s Cobra Command, a laserdisc-based arcade game released in 1984? It’s a game which uses an actual, full-motion cartoon video where you can have an interactive experience with. You’ll know what I mean when you grew up as a kid in the 1980’s. And now Revolutionary Concepts in conjunction with G-Mode of Japan will bring you a piece of nostalgia with Cobra Command recreated and improved for the iPhone and iPod Touch while taking advantage of its modern technology.

Cobra Command for iPhone & iPod Touch will feature feature:
* Full motion widescreen video, fully restored and presented in H.264 running at 60 frames per second.
* Vastly superior graphics and effects to match the on-screen action. Including an all new Cockpit, guns, missiles, and sound effects.
* Redesigned precision analog controls with multi-touch support.
* Accelerometer-based tilt steering! You really are in command of the worlds most awesome combat machine.
* Instantaneous seek time, providing a seamless experience where on on-screen action unfolds uninterrupted in real time.
* Unlockable Bonuses. Including Arcade Classic, and Expert Modes.
Revolutionary Concepts has the game submitted for approval to Apple and expect its release by Thanksgiving. Just in time, I must say. We’ll have a full-written review soon so keep an eye for that. For now, you can watch a gameplay video of Cobra Command below and more tasty screenshots:
